Dragon Tattoo Leaves Its Mark On Stockholm Fashion Week

It was Stockholm’s unlikely style icon Lisbeth Salander, or rather the first actress to bring her to life in the original The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo film series, Noomi Rapace (pictured), who kicked off the city’s fashion week Monday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Rapace attended shows throughout the week, and on Tuesday night, at the just-opened Burberry store, she told us she had just come from the Dagmar show, where Salander was cited as an inspiration (the modernist artist Sigrid Hjerten was the other) for the collection.

Limited Brands Increases Size of and Prices Senior Notes Offering

Limited Brands, Inc. (NYSE: LTD) announced today that it has changed and increased its previously announced offering of $750 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2022 and senior notes due 2024 to $1 billion aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2022 (the "Notes").

Elle China Becomes Biweekly

As many a fashion glossy is reducing its frequency (and sometimes trim size in tandem), ELLE China has will be hitting newsstands twice a month, on the 5th and 20th, starting with their March issue, part une, this Sunday. The twice-a-month read's price has subsequently been slashed in half, from 20 yuans ($3.17) to 10 yuans ($1.59) per issue. It will be reducing its heft accordingly, dialing down each issue's thickness from 500 to 800 pages down to 280 to 400 pages apiece.

All About Annabelle

For her debut capsule collection for French brand Faith Connexion, Annabelle Dexter-Jones didn’t have to look far for inspiration—she dug through old family photos of she and her siblings wearing their private school uniforms. “They are all clothes that you didn’t want to wear as a child, but you want to wear now,” she explains of the collection. The 25 pieces, including bow headbands, straight-leg jeans, a classic little black dress, and a red raincoat, are complete with a special “Annabelle” label designed by Dexter-Jones’ other half, André Saraiva.

It's an IPO for Brunello Cucinelli!

(NEW YORK) Brunello Cucinelli threw his hat into the public ring today. The cashmere king has requested a spot on the Italian Stock Exchange to sell a third of his eponymous company, with the help of MedioBanca and BofA Merrill Lynch as global coordinators. Cucinelli has been mulling over the idea of an IPO for almost nine months, and now is apparently as good a time as any. In 2010, the premium brand saw a 27 percent turnover while net income reached over $23 million, an 83 percent increase from the previous year.
