Need your Daily dose but can’t make it to Lincoln Center this week? Don’t fret, darlings: The Daily has launched its first iPad application! All seven issues of the oversized glossy—full of delicious scoops and runway reports—will be available for the first time outside the tents for $1.99 apiece (back issues are also available for just $.99, should you wish to revisit Carly Cushnie and Michelle Och’s foray into pole dancing or spending advice from financial guru Suze Orman).

Reed Krakoff Wants A Store You Can Touch

It’s been a busy year for Reed Krakoff. He’s launched his line, added resort, and now is opening his eponymous label’s first store, on Madison Avenue, as well as its e-commerce shop. It promises to be the first of many. On the eve of its opening, Style.com checked in with Krakoff—who, in his spare time, presides over Coach, writes art monographs, and manages to keep up appearances on the social scene—about decor, design, and creating a luxury store you’re not afraid to shop in.
Reed Krakoff opens today at 831 Madison Ave., NYC, (212) 988-0560, www.reedkrakoff.com.

Britney’s Back?

Her last public performance was nearly a year ago, as part of her Circus tour, but Britney Spears should start warming up again: The Daily hears that the former pop princess will take the stage during Fashion Week for a party for Dasha Zukhova’s Pop magazine at Don Hill’s. Spears covers the Japanese manga-inspired September edition of the magazine, shot by Todd Cole and art-directed by Takashi Murakami. Let the comeback rumors begin (again)…

Lagerfeld Collection Show Cancelled

Between his Couture Council appearance in New York this week, his Fendi show in Milan, and the Chanel show in Paris, Karl Lagerfeld already has a full fashion month schedule (not to mention the Paris unveiling of his Hogan collection on October 2). But Lagerfeld is cutting back his itinerary by one (albeit significant) event: the showing of his eponymous line, Lagerfeld Collection, in Paris. Scheduled for October 3, the brand announced today that the show has been cancelled.

Books Marc The Spot, The Rise Of Honeysuckle Rose, What’s To Come At T, And More…

It’s a little late for beach reading, but Marc Jacobs’ latest shop—Bookmarc—opens on Bleecker Street today. Is it time for that street to officially be renamed Marc Jacobs Way? Grumpy neighbors, who have been complaining of long lines outside the Marc by Marc shop down the block, don’t think so, but Robert Duffy and Jacobs are placating them with a quick-change: That shop will now house collection accessories. “There’s not going to be a line,” Duffy said. “I hope there is—but there won’t be a line of people to buy $3,000 handbags.” [WWD]

Cast Away

Fashion doesn’t exactly abide by regular schedules. So while the rest of the country was enjoying a luxurious long weekend, models were scampering around town proving that their runway struts (and figures) were sharp as ever. On a breezy, perfect sort of NYC Saturday, Andrew Weir of ACW Worldwide was casting for a bevy of fashion week shows, including Ruffian, Y-3, and Zac Posen’s Z Spoke at the Hudson Hotel (to the alternately pleased and gawkish stares of hotel guests). Marc Jacobs favorite Hannah Holman stopped by on the early side.
