Fashion's Night Out Announces Global Dates

Fashion's Night Out 2012 is back and better than ever. Last year, FNO was held in eighteen countries with more than 4,500 events in the U.S. alone. This year, the retail bash is expanding to all 19 Vogue-endorsed territories. The U.S., the U.K. France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Mexico, Australia and Korea will host the premiere shopping event on September 6; India, China, Germany, and Russia on September 7; Japan and Taiwan on September 8; Brazil on September 10 and 12; Italy, Portugal, Turkey, and The Netherlands on September 13; Italy on September 18; and Greece on September 20 and 25.

Yohji Yamamoto Set To Direct First Film

The notoriously private Japanese designer fessed up to his future plans as a director over the weekend in Hyeres, France at the 27th annual Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography, where he served on the international jury and engaged in a round-table discussion with director Christophe Honoré. A screenwriter for Yamamoto's first feature-length film has already been tapped and begun work on the project, which isn't expected to wrap for at least two years.
